Easter Sunrise

We got up yesterday in the darkness that is 4:45 AM.  We stumbled around in a tired stupor and got dressed and got into our car with a few friends.  For the second year in a row, we were going up to Mount Wilson near the observatory to watch the Easter sunrise.  Again, a full moon set over the city skyline on the western overlooks while we watched to the east for the sunrise over an amazing view of the mist-filled valleys that provide the counterpart for the San Gabriel mountain range.  Just like last year, without a cloud in the sky, the sun rose perfectly between two peaks.  The chilly darkness quickly turned into a warm and brilliant Easter morning.

Great memories and great symbolism for everything that Easter represents.
