MP520 – Thursday Reflections, Week 6

In class we had a great discussion about Fences and Windows (Klein) and Irresistible Revolution (Claiborne).  These two authors take distinctly different approaches to similar problems of corporatization and corrupt uses of power.  Whereas Klein takes a macro look at the issues (focusing on the big picture, big corporations, big organizations), Claiborne works from a micro level (living ‘the simple way’ and focusing on his neighborhood as a microcosm of the world).  Each of these approaches have pros and cons, but it also seems like parts of their methods resemble Jesus and the way that he interacted with powers.

Interesting stuff.
